SRQ at a glance

Sarasota Bradenton International is a single-terminal airport with two concourses. Concourse A, a ground-level building opened in January 2025, has its own TSA checkpoint and gates A4 to A8. The airport describes it as serving Allegiant, and Sun Country also appears on its October 2026 Concourse A schedule. The older Concourse B is on the second level and serves the other airlines.

Check-in, baggage claim, rental cars, ground transportation and rideshare are all on Level 1. The airport describes the walk from parking to check-in, security and gates as very short. Its terminal map lists local-name restaurants and shops such as Anna Maria Oyster Bar, Motorworks Brewing and The Shoppes at Siesta Key.

More building is planned. The airport has published an environmental assessment for a two-level connection between Concourses A and B and a new parking garage. It says design would begin in 2026, construction in 2027 and completion no sooner than 2029, so treat that as a plan, not scheduled work.

Main airlines: The October 2026 schedules show Allegiant and Sun Country on Concourse A, and American, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, United, Breeze, Avelo and Air Canada on Concourse B.

Tips for SRQ

  • Check your airline's concourse before you go through security. Allegiant uses Concourse A, which has its own checkpoint.
  • Winter and spring are the busiest seasons for Gulf Coast leisure travel, so allow more time for parking and security in those months.
  • Rental car counters are in the baggage claim area on Level 1, so you do not need a shuttle to rent a car.
  • Luggage carts are rented from Smarte Carte in baggage claim and at the curb, with a rebate when you return the cart.
  • Massage chairs are on the second level, at the west side of baggage claim and on the concourse.
