Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport has one terminal building on two levels, with three concourses (A, B and C) reached from the central security area. Departures and security are on the upper level, and arrivals and baggage claim are on the lower level.
The airport has free high-speed Wi-Fi in landside and airside areas and a parking deck next to the terminal. Lounge information is inconsistent between sources, so check the airport before you plan to use one.
Main airlines: American, Delta, Southwest, United and Breeze operate most of the scheduled service. Spirit also flies from Concourse A.

All three concourses are reached from the central security area on the upper level. Each concourse has its own set of gates, so check your gate on the departures screens before you walk.
Rental car counters are in an annex on the ground floor of the parking deck, reached by covered walkways from the terminal. Rental cars are picked up and returned in the parking deck.
Uber and Lyft pick up at the lower-level arrivals curbside. For prolonged waits, the airport asks drivers to use hourly parking or the cell phone waiting lot.
Taxis are outside baggage claim on the ground level. Metered 24-hour taxis wait at the curb, and the drive to downtown takes about 15 minutes.
Limousine and shuttle services operate by reservation only. Contact the company before you arrive.
MAX On-Demand rides run from downtown and the East Side zone. The fare is $1.50 per person, with $0.75 for each additional passenger. Drivers drop you at the departure gate and pick you up outside baggage claim.
Drive about 15 minutes, use Uber or Lyft, take a metered taxi from outside baggage claim, or book a MAX On-Demand ride for $1.50 per person.
Sources disagree. One 2026 guide says there are no VIP lounges, but a lounge directory lists two Admirals Club entries with Priority Pass or DragonPass access. Confirm with the airport before your trip.
