How delays work at IND

Local tips

  • The terminal stays open 24 hours a day, but security checkpoints close overnight once the last departures leave. Overnight travelers must stay landside near baggage claim or Civic Plaza.
  • The Guest Services desk is located in Civic Plaza, just beyond the Ticketing Hall, according to the airport's transportation page.
  • Sit near baggage claim on overnight layovers for padded seating. Bring an extra layer and earplugs, since the terminal can get cold and announcements echo.
