Checkpoints and tips
Midway has one main security checkpoint, on the pedestrian bridge that spans Cicero Avenue between the terminal and the concourses.
- The checkpoint is open from about 3:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Plan your arrival around those hours, especially for early flights.
- TSA PreCheck and CLEAR lanes are available at the checkpoint.
- The checkpoint was expanded as part of the Midway Modernization Program, and it can handle about 5,000 passengers an hour, so lines are usually short except during peak times.
