Checkpoints and tips
TSA opens its checkpoint at 3:45 a.m. daily, and the airport posts live wait times on its site. The airport recommends arriving at least two hours before departure.
- Gateside by TSA PreCheck started at PNS in early October 2026. Active TSA PreCheck members can apply online one to three days ahead, and once approved, pass through a PreCheck lane to meet or see off travelers.
- The checkpoint is scheduled to be rebuilt as part of the terminal expansion, so expect changes to its layout.
